A lot of women suffering from depression and/ or anxiety during pregnancy or post-birth are not diagnosed by physicians and do not seek or receive the help they need. Fortunately, postnatal depression and anxiety (PND/A) is highly treatable through therapy and in some cases with psychiatric medication too.

I offer psychological treatment for PND/A based on my previous experience as the primary psychologist in a mother and baby hospital ward. Therapy is centered around clients' goals and aims to relieve feelings of depression, hopelessness, anxiety, stress, and overwhelm. I aim to help clients develop an understanding of their experience and the relevant skills to cope.

Depression and anxiety are among the most common mental health disorders in both men and women worldwide. Evidence strongly suggests that therapeutic psychological interventions help in the treatment of these disorders and offer people hope that they will not feel this way forever. I am primarily trained in CBT which has the strongest evidence-base for the treatment of depression and anxiety. I use my knowledge, skills and compassionate approach to help clients understand their experience and develop coping skills to overcome the difficulties they are facing.

Everyone in Israel has been adversely affected by the current situation. If you are struggling with this and in need of support I offer a one-time free session to talk it through and get skills to cope. Sessions will be online and 40 minutes in duration, evenings only. Please note these sessions are not suitable for direct victims and/or anyone experiencing symptoms of trauma.
